Learn to Code with The HTML Show: Episode 1—The Language of the Web
Launch Academy Co-Founder Dan Pickett walks students through the logistics of this learn to code course and how to get the most out of the HTML Show experience. The first four to five episodes focus on foundational elements of building what’s known as accessible HTML markup.
After covering that facet of web page development, the next 10 episodes are about CSS and responsive design with industry frameworks (i.e., how to accommodate different screen resolutions and functionalities from device to device).
Sounds great, right? It gets better.
This course is free and designed for people with little to no coding experience. (Think Coding for Beginners or Coding 101.) If you’d like a little prep work before diving in, check out our Programming, Decoded blog series to familiarize yourself with basic coding concepts.
To get the most out of this course, don’t just be a spectator. Each episode ends with something actionable to help improve your front end web development skills and make sure you’re comfortable with the material before moving on. And remember that each episode builds upon concepts from earlier lessons, so you’ll want to work in sequence. Jumping around may lead to confusion (and bad code).
