I don’t have $17,500 lying around.
I don’t want to take out any more student loans.
I know this is an important investment in my future—but I just can’t afford it right now.
Deep breath, Future Launcher! We understand your first reaction to our tuition may be one of disbelief.
But don’t worry. We’re here to help!
First, a bit of background: When it comes to education, coding bootcamps like Launch Academy are very new, which means funding sources are currently limited. And while $15,500 (the cost of our Philly program) and $17,500 (the cost to attend Boston) is quite a bit less than the cost of a traditional higher education program, it’s still out of reach for a lot of students. The high cost of bootcamps, combined with the dearth of financing options available for alternative education programs, makes paying for a bootcamp one of the biggest hurdles a student may face.
Paying for Launch Academy just got a whole lot easier. We're happy to announce that we've partnered with Skills Fund to offer Launch Academy and Prism Shift students more flexible financing options.
You can find all of the details about the Skills Fund financing program here.
Of course, if you'd prefer to pay your tuition up front to avoid financing charges, that's fine too. Ultimately, there’s no universal 'best' option, because everyone's financial picture is different.
Our partnership with Skills Fund was carefully considered: It's no secret that the student loan industry doesn't have an exemplary reputation, and the last thing we want to do would be to endorse a financing option that contributes to the student debt crisis that's developed in the US over the last decade. As we explored partnerships with different lenders, our number-one priority was finding options that offered fair and reasonable payment terms. We found that with Skills Fund.
If you decide that financing your coding bootcamp is the best path for you, be sure to read the fine print, review your payment schedule, and make sure you're comfortable with the financing path you've picked before you sign on the dotted line.
Launch Academy was founded on the idea that everyone should have the opportunity to better themselves. Making tuition more accessible is a huge step in that direction.
